The MAXRAY RUSH 80K caught our attention for one reason before anything else: the Juicy Guard system. Juice-control technology isn't entirely new in the disposable vape category, but MAXRAY takes an interesting approach by making the system visible through the device's clear tank.
After spending time with the RUSH 80K, we found that this isn't just a gimmick. The liquid-management system actually contributes to a consistently satisfying vape. Along with the unusual coil-saturation system, the RUSH 80K packs a 25 mL e-liquid capacity, a rechargeable 900 mAh battery, adjustable airflow, two power settings, pass-through charging, and a transparent tank.
It also feels considerably more refined than we expected from a brand we hadn't previously used.

MAXRAY RUSH 80K: Build Quality and Design
The first thing we noticed when we picked up the RUSH 80K was how solid it felt. The device has a relatively compact, chunky shape, measuring about 28 mm thick, so it isn't the slimmest disposable around.
Still, the rounded edges make it comfortable to hold, and the short, stout design actually sits nicely in our hands. The C-frame construction appears to use plastic, but the finish gives it a much more premium feel.
The body has textured details on the back, while a contrasting front panel conceals the display. We like the clean look, although the display has one obvious weakness: it can be difficult to read outside in bright sunlight. The mouthpiece is another small detail that works well. It's comfortable and shaped in a way that makes the device easy to use for longer sessions.
The Juicy Guard System Is the Main Attraction
The RUSH 80K's biggest innovation is the Juicy Guard system, which controls how much e-liquid reaches the coil. Looking through the transparent tank, we can actually see the mechanism operating, which makes the design particularly interesting.
Inside the tank is a divider that creates a secondary reservoir near the bottom. A red stopper moves to regulate the amount of liquid entering that chamber and ultimately reaching the cotton. When the device sits unused for several minutes, the system also seals the coil area to help limit unwanted liquid movement.
You'll sometimes hear a subtle popping sound when the system activates. It isn't a problem, but it can be slightly surprising the first time you notice it. The benefit is supposed to be consistent cotton saturation, and for the most part, that's exactly what we experienced.

Setting Up the RUSH 80K
There's very little learning curve here. A button on the side lets you switch between Normal and Turbo modes, while a slider on the bottom provides continuously adjustable airflow. We particularly like that the airflow control isn't tied to the power settings.
You can choose my preferred draw independently of whether you'll be using Normal or Turbo mode. The slider is recessed into the body and has enough resistance that you wouldn't find yourself accidentally moving it.
Once the airflow and power are set, the device is ready to go. The auto-draw activation worked reliably throughout my testing.
The hidden display comes alive when you take a puff, press the button, or connect the charger. It shows the battery percentage and current power mode. Since the tank is completely transparent, there's no need for a separate juice gauge. You do have to keep an eye on the liquid level yourself because the RUSH doesn't automatically stop when the tank is empty.
How Does the MAXRAY RUSH 80K Vape?
This is where the RUSH really impressed me. The flavor is rich, juicy and surprisingly full-bodied, and I found Normal mode more than powerful enough for most of my sessions. That's worth mentioning because I often like having a higher-power setting available.
With the RUSH 80K, I didn't feel like I needed Turbo simply to get satisfying flavor. Normal mode delivered a smooth, flavorful draw while using less battery. Turbo still has its place. Switching to the higher setting produces a warmer vape and gives the throat hit more definition. It's a nice option when I want a stronger experience, particularly when the battery is getting lower.
The airflow is also smooth through most of its adjustment range. If I close it down very tightly, some turbulence can develop, but I don't consider that a major issue. I did encounter one minor problem during testing.
One RUSH unit became temporarily oversaturated, which resulted in some e-liquid reaching my lips for several minutes. It didn't turn into a flooded or gurgling mess, and the Juicy Guard system eventually corrected the issue. Outside of that isolated incident, performance was excellent.

My Favorite MAXRAY RUSH 80K Flavors
MAXRAY currently offers a dozen flavors for the RUSH 80K, covering everything from fruit and mint to candy-inspired combinations.
The pineapple comes through first with a juicy tropical character, followed by creamy coconut and a noticeable but manageable cooling effect. It's exactly the sort of flavor we associate with a cold tropical drink, and I could easily use this one year-round. Miami Mint was another standout. Rather than relying entirely on an aggressive blast of mint, it combines cool mint with subtle fruity notes.
The result is refreshing without becoming overwhelmingly cold or sugary. Fcuking FAB takes a candy-forward route with tangy tropical and citrus flavors.
Battery Life and Charging
The 900 mAh battery is respectable rather than groundbreaking, but we were happy with the runtime. Using Normal mode, you could get around a day and a half from a full charge, which felt closer to somewhat of a larger battery.
Turbo mode naturally shortens that runtime, so how long the RUSH lasts will depend heavily on how it is used. A full recharge took about 59 minutes while testing. The device also supports pass-through charging, meaning you can continue using it while it's connected to power.
That's a feature we appreciate because it eliminates much of the inconvenience of waiting for a recharge. Where the RUSH really stands out is its 25 mL e-liquid capacity. That's a substantial amount of liquid for a device this size and gives it an advantage for anyone who doesn't want to replace their device frequently.
What We Like and What Could Be Better
The Juicy Guard system is easily one of the best features. It gives the RUSH 80K something genuinely different, rather than simply adding another screen or gimmicky control. We also like the build quality, comfortable shape, visible e-liquid level, large 25 mL capacity, adjustable airflow, two power modes and pass-through charging.
The controls are simple enough that we never had to think about how to operate the device. My complaints are relatively minor. The display isn't particularly easy to read outdoors, and we did experience one brief oversaturation issue. We're also not completely sold on the contrasting front-panel design, although that's purely a matter of personal taste.
Why the MAXRAY RUSH 80K Impresses Us
The MAXRAY RUSH 80K made a surprisingly strong impression--the device feels much more polished than expected. Its biggest strength isn't simply the 25 mL tank or the 900 mAh battery.
It's the way MAXRAY combines those specifications with a genuinely interesting liquid-control system. The Juicy Guard mechanism appears to help maintain consistent saturation while also addressing some of the leakage and oversaturation issues that can affect high-capacity disposable designs.
Add in excellent flavor, comfortable ergonomics, adjustable airflow, Normal and Turbo modes, and pass-through charging, and the RUSH 80K becomes a very complete package. It isn't flawless, but the small issues we encountered didn't overshadow the overall experience.
The combination of strong flavor, substantial capacity and innovative juice management is what makes the MAXRAY RUSH 80K stand out. While you're here, see what we have in store right here on eJuices.co!
