The eJuices.co team is here to ensure that your vape shop or retail establishment is up-to-date on the latest news in the wholesale vape environment. Today, the eJuices.co team is sitting down with account executive Tyler Bush, who will share some of his opinions and advice to help you benefit your vape shop or retail establishment.

President Donald Trump is now potentially backing off his proposed vape ban. Do you think that policymakers and legislators at the state level will continue with their own efforts? Why or why not?

If Trump does not remove all flavors from the market, various states will probably try to pursue their own legislation. That’s why we consider this a war and not just a battle. We have to continue to fight the good fight and pursue what is right. The vaping industry started with the goal of providing adults with a real alternative to cigarettes. We work every day to help people make the switch. Unfortunately, tobacco flavors just don’t satisfy 95% of the adults making the switch. This is why the fight for flavors is so important.

Have any of your customers changed their buying habits regarding wholesale vape? Have certain brands or flavor profiles benefited this quarter so far? If so, which ones?

Some of my customers have changed their buying habits as a result of state and local laws. However, in the states that have not implemented any type of flavor ban or vaping ban, I haven’t seen an increase in buying. What is surprising to me is that they are making changes in the brands they are buying. Many of my customers are going back to the original vape brands. International customers, in particular, are going back to some of the bigger eJuice manufacturers. We have seen an uptick in tobacco-flavored vape sales due to various states banning certain flavors.

Are your customers also asking about CBD products? Have they asked any pertinent questions regarding what CBD products they should stock in their shops?

Yes, there has been an interest in CBD products. A lot of our vape and smoke shop accounts that we work with have been trying to diversify their selection which previously consisted of less than 10 percent CBD and 90 percent vape. Today, these same shops have now gone to at least 25 percent CBD and 75 percent vape products. I think this CBD growth rate will continue for most vape and smoke shops who wish to sell CBD products. The vape and smoke shops have seen an increase in CBD sales when they actively market the products and educate their staff on how to inform consumers about the differences in various CBD products.

What advice do you have to give to your customers regarding wholesale vape and CBD products?

The advice I would like to give to wholesale vape customers is to continue business as normal. Stand up for what is right and right will prevail. Don’t change your buying patterns because of the unknown. As for CBD products, educating your staff on the products you carry is the most important tool that you can have to the success of sales of CBD products. Also, when marketing that your shop carries CBD products, a good starting point is your Google Maps listing.

As with all things, make sure you are monitoring what your customers are buying, interacting with your customers, and what products you constantly need to reorder. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always contact your eJuices.co account manager or sales representative.
